Abstract: We describe a technique for the diagnosis of loosening of the femoral component of the Oxford Unicompartmental Knee Replacement using accurately aligned lateral radiographs in extension and flexion. If gaps are present between the component and cement on one radiograph and not on the other, the component is loose. copyright 2009 British Editorial Society of Bone and Joint Surgery.
