Self Care Week 2011 takes place 14-20th November and aims to help people to take care of themselves by learning more about what’s available to help them look after their own health better. This year’s campaign builds on the success of Self Care Week 2009 and 2010 and is being run in partnership with the Self Care Forum ( ), whose members are all committed to embedding self care in all walks of life.
The National End of Life Care Programme has supported the Bereavement Services Association and PCC in the publication of When a Person Dies: Guidance for Professionals on Developing Bereavement Services.
The winners of a competition to identify outcomes indicators for stroke recovery, and children and young people’s experience of healthcare, have been announced.
CQC published a report into the standards of care that older people receive in hospital – and calls for a system-wide response to combat the failings identified.
