Since its launch in 1948, the NHS has grown to become the world’s largest publicly funded health service. It provides genuine comprehensive health care that is free at the point of delivery. It is a hugely complex organisation with many aspects to it.

This course will give you an insight into the NHS through an understanding of its history, its structure and the challenges it is facing. It is designed for those who are new to the NHS or need to understand the recent changes and the organisations it created.
