If anyone at East Cheshire Trust or community is having difficulty self-registering for NHS Athens which provides access to online resources, please let me know by emailing me at email@example.com
Technicians are working to correct the problem and we hope full service will be resumed shortly.
This is just a reminder that East Cheshire staff may access training courses provided at other library venues besides our own here in New Alderley House. This is due to a reciprocal arrangement between ourselves, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospital of South Manchester.
Stepping Hill currently has free courses on the following topics:
- Introduction to Literature Searching
- Introduction to Critical Appraisal with statistics
- In-depth Literature Searching
- The Cochrane Library
- Using PubMed effectively
Courses at UHSM have yet to be published.
Don’t forget for 1:1 training on updating or developing your evidence search skills using the healthcare databases (HDAS), NICE or Cochrane, please get in touch with one of our Outreach Librarians. Contact Carole Keeling if you are based at the Trust or Steve Collman for any community based staff or students.
