The Keeping up to Date element of The Improvement Network TIN) will be migrating to a new website. The existing TIN website will only continue until September 2013, as the Strategic Health Authority which hosted it no longer exists. TIN will not be maintained however.
The Current Awareness Service for Health is therefore creating a new site for health related alerting services, which will be based on the Keeping up to Date section of TIN. A copy of the site will be taken on 29 April after which no new content will be added until the new site is up and running. We will announce that as widely as possible, once the migration is completed, and redirects will be in place.
The Staff Library is developing a new service. Horizon Scanning or current awareness as it is sometimes known, is a time saving method of keeping up to date on a chosen topic, with the minimum of effort on your part.
We regularly review news and information published from many quality Internet sources such as BMJ, Harvard Business Review, King’s Fund and Cochrane Library to name but a few. We then collate the results for you in a format that is easy to read, review and share. News is already published on this web portal under appropriate page headings eg: Nursing, Orthopaedics and Community Care for instance. However, instead of you having to remember to visit our website, we can send the news directly to your Inbox.
If you have a specific topic in mind, please contact us so that we can discuss a bespoke service. This is a FREE service and all that is required is a valid email address. Why not give it a try? Take a look at the current collection now
In a typically hectic working day people often find it difficult to find the time to stay up-to-date. How do you know what is happening in research, in development, changes to practice or in legislation? In an attempt to make this easier we have published current awareness links on many of our individual pages to make it easy to access all that information in one click. Our current awareness bulletins summarise for the readers’ convenience, the latest specialist news from numerous reputable sources.
As from today it should be even easier to find this information as all our bulletins and feeds are listed on the Welcome page. If you haven’t seen them before – take a look now and see what you have been missing …. and then tell your colleagues!
Look out for some additional feeds which have joined this collection:
Breast Feeding, COPD, Emergency Care, End of Life, Musculoskeletal, Nursing, Patient Experience, Rheumatology and Stroke.
