Making it real: marking progress towards personalised, community based support
This programme sets out what people who use services and carers expect to see and experience if support services are truly personalised. They are set of “progress markers” that can help an organisation to check how they are going towards transforming adult social care. The aim of the programme is for people to have more choice and control so they can live full and independent lives.

Cancer genetics project launched

A new initiative to develop personalised cancer treatment has been launched. The experimental project has been designed to develop a screening program to test tumours for key genetic changes. It is hoped that in the future the results of such tests would influence treatment programmes, helping doctors choose the best drug for each person.
